The Church is a Hospital.
There are billions of patients in the Hospital and thousands of interns. However, there is only One Attending Physician on staff. Also the Head of the Hospital completely responsible for heath care and administration, The Attending Physician does all the work and gets all the accolades. Nothing could be more fair.
Both the Admissions office and the Emergency Room are never closed and are always busy. A person must be dead and broken in order to be admitted into the Hospital. Every new admission, by heredity, has “I-disease” that led to blindness, advanced mental disorders, and instantly fatal heart disease. Once in the Hospital, patients are healed from a wide variety of maladies:
The Hospital where The Attending Physician ministers to the sick and the hurting patients offers a full compliment of wards, including Maternity, Cardiovascular, Oncology, Behavioral Health, Occupational Health, EEN&T, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Eating Disorders, Poison Control, Infectious Diseases, and Surgery. All wards are full, but there is always room for one more patient.
Healing by The Attending Physician is a continuous process because all the patients are continuously moving from ward to ward and into and out of a healthy condition. Medical Records is also very busy, usually wiping clean the records in one set of books while adding names to another Book. In spite of all this activity, no one is ever discharged from the Hospital! And, most incredibly, all medical expenses are pre-paid by The Attending Physician!
In the Maternity ward, The Attending Physician makes alive the dead and broken. In this remarkable ward for new patient arrivals, all things are passed away and all things are made new.
In the Cardiovascular unit, in conjunction with the other wards, The Attending Physician softens hard hearts and performs an endless docket of heart surgeries.
The Oncology, Poison Control, and Infectious Diseases wards are where patients go for healing of their immune systems that have been savagely afflicted by lethal agents and cankers.
The Attending Physician takes patients to the Eating Disorders unit to heal those suffering from malnutrition, food poisoning, and other gastrointestinal illnesses resulting from the improper chewing of food.
The Behavioral Health ward is amongst the busiest of all wards in the Hospital. Here The Attending Physician heals ulcers caused by worry and rehabilitates muscles atrophied by a profound lack of exercise. Healing for Foot and Mouth disease, which runs rampant among the patients of the Hospital due to where they go and what they say, is non-stop. Additionally, sleeping disorders, such as insomnia for those who cannot rest, sleep depravation for those who are always working, and hypersomnia for those who are almost always asleep, are healed. Finally, since the Hospital is located in a dry and thirsty land, The Attending Physician is very busy treating dehydration in the Behavior Health ward.
The Occupational Health ward is where those with spinal afflictions, such as the softening of the backbone or the distortion of the backbone which leave the patient unable to either stand or to stand straight, are seen by The Attending Physician. This unit is also brimming with patients suffering from shin splints resulting from running long distances with improper shoes or with an inefficient running technique.
